Structural Engineering 2

Project Engineer, LeMessurier, Cambridge MA, 1986-1988

Formerly known as LeMessurier Consultants. The company web site states:

For over 50 years LeMessurier has been providing structural engineering services to architects, owners, contractors, developers and artists. Led by the example of William LeMessurier, our engineers provide the expertise our clients deserve for some of the world’s most elegant and sophisticated designs while remaining true to the enduring laws of science and engineering. We push the envelope of the latest technologies – even invent new ones when we know we can do better – to engineer solutions that are responsive to our clients and reflective of our experience.

In this environment, Mr. DiCarlo progressed from a contributing engineer (222 Berkley Street; 125 Summer Street, both in Boston), to the role of project engineer (Dormitories, University of Massachusetts at Lowell; St Philip Church, Providence, RI).

His work there included horizontal and lateral framing systems, long-span structures, wall systems, and cladding systems. He proved particularly adept at working with architects.
