The shop recalls the atmosphere of the designer’s workspace. Men’s and women’s rooms are on opposite sides of the entry. Hanging rods line the far side walls. Interior walls are lined with paneling, mirrors, and shelves. There are a minimum of other furnishings. The register is at the large center counter, where garments are laid-out as on the work table of a tailor.
Light fixtures, display hardware, and other fittings were designed for the store. The Munich boutique served as a prototype for shops in other European cities.
